The most entrapment brands

A new report from cyber security firm Check Point says Google and Amazon have overtaken Apple as the most imitated favorite brands by hackers.

The list of hackers' favorite brands includes Amazon, Google, WhatsApp and Facebook.

Hackers are trying to imitate it more than others to trick people into sharing data, personal information and payments.

The two technology giants occupy the first place with 13 percent, followed by Facebook and WhatsApp by 9 percent, and then Microsoft by 7 percent.

The cyber security company added Apple fell to seventh after it ranked first in the first quarter of this year.

The Hackers' Favorite Brands were ranked according to their appearance in trademark phishing events during the second quarter of 2020.

Facebook is the most imitated brand on mobile devices, while Microsoft ranks first in email attacks.

WhatsApp, Amazon and Google were among the top brands of attacks on the Internet, and they accounted for 61 percent of the attacks.

The scheme used by the hackers includes imitating a famous brand's website, either by establishing a similar web page to the official website, or by using a similar website address.

There are several ways to deceive victims when visiting malicious websites. Victims can be tricked into going to a fake website via a phishing email or text message.

Victims can also be deceived by a web attack, so that the victim can be redirected by a fake website that pops up while browsing, or by a fraudulent application.

Once the victim accesses the fake website, the scheme is to get them to enter the information in a form to steal sensitive personal information.

E-mail appears to be a popular way to get people to behave in an insecure manner, and (Check Point) reported that email phishing exploits are increasing compared to the first quarter.

Given that we are all forced to work from home, inboxes are a primary method of attack for hackers, and you should think several times before opening a document in e-mail, especially if it is assumed. It comes from Google or Amazon.

To stay safe, users should not open promotional links in emails. Instead, they should search for the retailer via Google, and then open the link from the Google search results page.

There are other precautions that must be taken, such as staying away from special offers or huge opponents, as these offers are usually fake, and you should pay attention to spelling or grammatical errors in emails or websites.
