What is Pop up ads malware?

Pop-up ads made by a site that displays fake messages to trick you into subscribing to its notifications. with some  fake messages that the pop up sites will show to trick you into clicking the “Allow” button like:

  • To access to the video, click "Allow"

  • Click "ALLOW" to play the video, Stream and download available

  • Can't play this video! Browser may block video
  • autoplay... Click "Allow" to play the video

  • Press "Allow", to watch the video

  • To access, click allow!
  • If you are 18+ click allow

  • Download is ready. Click Allow to download your file.
  • Press Allow to verify that you are not a robot.

When you see such messages You should not click on the “Allow” button, and If you click on it, you will start seeing many pop-ups  on your PC or phone, even when the browser is closed. 


Why I see these pop-up ads on the screen?

You are seeing the these type of advertisements because your computer is infected with a malicious program or a site that you have visited has redirected your browser to this page to generate advertising revenue.


Here are few signs can tell you if your computer is infected:

How to Remove fake Pop up ads Automatically?

The easiest method to stop pop-up ads is to run an antivirus program has ability for detecting adware and fake pop ups. 

Go to Programs and Features, uninstall programs you don’t remember that you have installed it by yourself, or the last programs you installed just before pop-ups appeared on your browser for the first time. 


To remove Pop-up notification from Windows 7:

  1. Click Start.
  2. In the Start menu select Control Panel.
  3. Find and select Programs and Features or Uninstall a program.

Search in google for those names to find out if they belong to legitimate programs.
Delete the ones that are obviously associated with malware. If you are not sure, back them up before deleting them (copy to a different location in your drive).

How to remove unknown extensions from your web browser?

To Remove Google Chrome extensions

    1. Click on three dots menu button three dots menu at the top right corner of the window.
    2. Select More tools ⇒ Extensions.
    3. Click REMOVE to uninstall an extension.

    2. To remove an add-on, click on the x button next to it.
    3. Click OK when asked to confirm.

    To Remove extensions from Safari

    1. On the top menu select Safari => Preferences.
    2. Select Extensions tab.
    3. Select an extension you want to delete and click Uninstall button next to it.

    To Remove Chrome Pop up

    1. Open chrome://settings/content/notifications (just copy this and paste into the address bar of Chrome).
    2. Delete all rogue notifications by clicking three vertical dots button next to each and selecting Remove.

    To Remove Firefox pop ups

    1. Click on menu button Menu button and select Options.
    2. Select Privacy & Security on the left side of the window.
    3. Scroll down to Permissions section and click Settings… button next to Notifications.
    4. Find sites you down’t want to see notifications from, click on drop-down menu next to each and select Block.
    5. Click Save Changes button.
