His Final Gift
In 2001, at the age of 90, Bai Fangli made his final donation. With a frail voice, he told the students:
“My body can’t take it anymore.”
By then, he had donated the equivalent of 350,000 yuan, enough to send over 300 children to school.
Just a few years later, in 2005, Bai passed away at the age of 93. He left behind no material wealth, but something far greater: a legacy of kindness, dignity, and opportunity.
